This is an old family favorite. We pretty much can't have a gathering without these. There is no written recipe, it has been passed around verbally since I was a child. Everyone I've made these for has loved them. I hope you do too!

Time 30m

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 loaf rye cocktail bread
8 ounces grated swiss cheese (I grate my own and domestic works fine)
1 (6 ounce) package hormel pepperoni slices, chopped
1/2 small onion, finely minced
mayonnaise, enough to bind (I have never measured this - I add mayo to the mixture until it holds together, it's hard to mess th)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Line baking sheet with foil.
  • Mix all ingredients (except for bread) together.
  • Spread cheese/pepperoni mixture onto the rye breads and place them on baking sheet (s).
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is browned and bubbling (the bottom of the breads should become brown and crispy).
  • Enjoy!

This pizza was easy to make and it turned out great! I used a pre-made pizza crust to save time and it still came out delicious.

I'm not a big fan of Swiss cheese, but this pizza was still really good. The combination of flavors was perfect and the crust was cooked to perfection.

This pizza was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but my kids loved it. I'll probably use less cheese next time.

I'm not a fan of the pre-made pizza crusts, so I made my own. It was a bit more work, but it was worth it. The pizza came out perfect!

This pizza was a bit bland for me. I think it could have used some more spices or herbs.

This pizza was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but my kids loved it. I think next time I'll use less Swiss cheese and more mozzarella.

I love how versatile this recipe is. I added some sautéed mushrooms and onions to mine and it was amazing. You can really customize it to your own liking.
