This is somewhat based on an Alton Brown recipe, but of course I couldn't leave it alone... We like to serve this over noodles and the leftovers are great!

I'm not a big fan of Swiss steak, but I thought I'd give this recipe a try. I was surprised at how much I liked it. The meat was tender and the gravy was flavorful.

This recipe is a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. My kids love the gravy and they don't even notice the vegetables.

I wasn't sure how the Swiss steak would turn out in a slow cooker, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was just as good as when I make it in the oven.
