My family used to drink this on the farm when I was a kid. It went by the gallons when the men would come in from the fields. I was given it again recently as I lost it a while back and my memory is not what it used to be so I was very glad to get it.

Steps:
- 1. Combine 1 quart water, the vinegar, sugar, molasses, and ginger root and simmer for 15 minutes uncovered. Remove from heat, cover, and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
- 2. Serve over Ice. Keeps well in the refrigerator. I used to serve this to my kids in the summer and when they were playing sports.
