TEXAS BEEF HASH WITH HEART image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 large onion chopped
1 large green pepper chopped
1/2 cup rice(uncooked)
2 Tbl. cooking oil
1/2 Tbl. chili powder
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 cups tomato juice(or 16oz canned tomatoes)
1 Tbl. worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Saute onion and pepper in oil in large skillet. Add ground beef, brown well. Add tomato juice, rice, chili powder and seasonings. Cover and stir often for 15 minutes(rice should look fluffy)on medium high heat. Left overs heat up well. *Grilled Cheese on the side is a nice compliment to the meal.
