Weeknight Slow Cooker Chuck Roast image

I love my weeknight chuck roast that cooks all day in the slow cooker. Just season and add to your slow cooker and when you come home dinner is waiting! All you need to do is add your favorite sides; most of them can also be made in advance.

The meat was a little fatty for me. I won't make this recipe again. Even my dogs didn't like it very much and they'll eat almost anything!

This was a great chuck roast! I will say that I had to adjust the cook time a bit, but the meat melted off the bone when I finally took it out of the crock pot. It was wonderful served with mashed otatoes and a big helping of collard greens!

The cook time was way off for me. I had to cook my chuck roast on low in the crock-pot for almost 12 hours to get it fall-off-the-t-bne soft. The meat was delicious, but the extended cooking time really messed with my schedule!
