Steps:
- At least 1 hour or up to 6 hours before serving:Grease a 1 1/2 -quart shallow baking dish. In baking dish, layer half of the yams, all of the apples, remaining yams and raisins set aside.In a small saucepan, stir apple juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, allspice and cinnamon until mixture is smooth. Add butter or margarine. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes or until thickened. Pour over yam mixture. Lightly grease foil and tightly cover dish, greased-side down. If making ahead, refrigerate up to 5 hours.Bake, covered, in a preheated 400° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Garnish with an orange slice and parsley sprig if desired.
