7 Layer Salad image

This recipe was prepared by Eleanore Mason for our August 2013 meeting.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 c grated sharp cheddar cheese
6 strips of crisp bacon (crumbled)
1 head of lettuce (shredded)
2 stalk(s) celery (sliced thin)
1 medium onion (chopped fine)
10 oz package of frozen peas, cooked & drained
1 large pepper, sliced thin
2 large carrots, grated fine
4 hard cooked eggs, grated
TOPPING
2 c mayonnaise
2 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Spread layers of lettuce, add other ingredeints in layers except cheese & bacon
  • 2. Spread mayonnaise mixture over salad. Sprinkle with cheese & bacon. Refrigerate 8 hours in covered 9X13 pan.
