This recipe is about family, comfort and simplicity. My mom made this delicious sweet treat many a winter night and served it warm with some of her famous homemade ice cream. I like to make a double batch and pass on the love! -Elizabeth Monfort, Celina, Ohio

These bars were a bit too sweet for my taste, but they were still good. I think I'll try making them again with less sugar next time.

These bars were really easy to make and they turned out great! The only thing I would change is to use a different type of apple. I used Granny Smith apples, and they were a bit too tart for my taste. Next time I'll use a sweeter apple, like Honeycri
