I found this in an old church cookbook. The only change I made is instead of using a can of yams, I cook 6 yams and use those instead as I prefer fresh over canned yams.

This was my first time making an apple-mallow-yam bake and it turned out perfectly. I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious. The marshmallows were gooey and the yams were cooked through. I will definitely be making this again.

I've made this recipe several times and it's always a hit. The marshmallows get so gooey and the yams are cooked perfectly. I like to serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
