Apple-Peach Cobbler image

This apple-peach cobbler is perfect served warm with French vanilla ice cream.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, cubed
1 large egg, beaten
2 cups sliced fresh peaches
2 cups sliced apples
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 8x11-inch baking pan.
  • Whisk 3 cups flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl. Cut in butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg.
  • Blend peaches and apples in a food processor. Add remaining flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; mix well.
  • Pat 2/3 of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Pour in fruit filling and then crumble the rest of the dough over top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 45 minutes.
