Found this in an old Mennonite Cookbook circa 1950! This collection of over 1,100 recipes comes from most of the Mennonite communities in the United States and Canada. It really is a good summer side dish. Just not one you would indulge in too often. We tried it and loved it! Hope you enjoy it too. I will find other interesting...

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 cups fresh or frozen corn
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 cup finely diced bacon

Steps:

  • 1. Turn oven to 350 D/F.
  • 2. Place corn in a greased baking dish. Season with sugar, salt and pepper. Cover entire top of dish with finely diced bacon. Bake for 35 minutes of until bacon is crisp.
