Banana Drop Cookies image

I don't know where I found this recipe for these cookies but my kids LOVED them while growing up. I would make a glaze to put on them sometimes which made them even more delish! So if you have a powdered sugar glaze you want to put on them, go for it!!

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 1/8 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 c butter, room temperature
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c mashed banana
1 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Oven preheated to 375 degrees.
  • 2. Stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and cloves. Set aside.
  • 3. Beat the 1/2 cup butter. Add the sugar, beat til fluffy.
  • 4. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  • 5. Add the dry ingredients & 1 cup mashed banana, alternately.
  • 6. Drop from spoonful on well greased pan and bake 10-12 minutes. Once cooled, eat as is or put a glaze on them!

I'm not a huge fan of banana desserts, but these cookies were surprisingly good. They're not too sweet, and the banana flavor isn't overpowering. I'd definitely make them again.
