Barbecue Shrimp image

This signature Creole-Sicilian favorite from New Orleans with a low-fat shortcut or two. It has a lush, buttery-peppery sauce. The bread is meant for mopping up the sauce so none goes to waste.

1/2 cup fat-free caesar salad dressing
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon rosemary
1 tablespoon thyme
1 teaspoon black pepper
5 bay leaves
1 teaspoon pepper sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 lbs large shrimp
1/3 cup dry white wine
1 loaf French bread
fresh lemon

Steps:

  • Combine first 11 ingredients in a large nonstick skillet AND bring to a boil.
  • Add shrimp AND cook 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add wine, cook another minute or two until the shrimp are done.
  • Serve with bread and lemon wedges.
