This soup is a great way to use up leftover ham. I just substitute the ham for the beef, and it turns out great.

I'm not a huge fan of black-eyed peas, but I really enjoyed this soup. The beef broth and spices really helped to balance out the flavor of the peas.

I thought this soup was just okay. The flavor was a bit bland for my taste. I think I would have liked it better if I had added some more spices.
