Steps:
- 1. For filling: Thaw fruit if frozen. Do not drain. Choose the kind of berries desired or mix them. Place fruit in an 8 x 1 1/2 inch round baking dish. Stir in sugar.
- 2. For topping: in a mixing bowl combine oats, brown sugar, flaxmeal or oatbran flour, and the spice of choice. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts and/or seeds. Sprinkle topping over filling.
- 3. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes (40 minutes for thawed fruit)or until fruit is tender and topping is golden. Serve warm with ice cream or low fat frozen yogurt if desired. Serves 4-8
