Black Bean & Pumpkin Chili image

This is my kind of chili - thick and hearty. Try sweet potato or butternut squash instead of pumpkin, and serve over quinoa, barley, brown rice or farro. -Jean Ecos, Hartland, WI

This chili was a disaster! The pumpkin made it way too sweet, and the spices were all wrong. I ended up throwing it out.

This chili was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I think I would have liked it more if I had used fresh pumpkin instead of canned.

I'm not a huge fan of pumpkin, but I decided to give this chili a try. I'm so glad I did! The pumpkin added a subtle sweetness that really complemented the other flavors in the chili. I'll definitely be making this again.
