Black Bottom Banana Bars image

Moist bars that are even better the second day.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 c butter, softened
1 c sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3-4 mashed ripe bananas
1-1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c cocoa powder

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in the bananas. Combine the dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  • 2. Divide the batter in half. Add cocoa to half; spread into a greased 9 X 13 inch baking pan. Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife to marble.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.
