Black Walnut Raisin Oatmeal Cookies image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/4 c butter
3/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 can(s) sugar
1 1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp baking soda
pinch salt
1 egg
1 1/2 c flour
3 c oatmeal
1 1/2 c black walnuts
1 c raisins

Steps:

  • 1. In Large mixing bowl beat butter until fluffy; add sugars, spices and soda. Beat until all is combined. Add the egg and beat until combines. Beat in flour slowly and stir in oats, walnuts and raisins
  • 2. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart unto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool 1 minute then transfer to wire racks until cool.

These cookies are a great make-ahead snack. I like to make a batch on the weekend and then I have them on hand for the week.
