This sandwich combines some of my favorite things. It's so easy the kids can make it themselves (with the help of an adult).

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 slices favorite bread
Crunchy peanut butter
American Cheese slices
Apple slices (thin)
Cinnamon-sugar
Lemon juice
Water

Steps:

  • Spread two slices of your favorite bread with peanut butter. Lay one or two slices of cheese on one slice of bread. Then, take several slices of apple, pat dry, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar (or just cinnamon to keep the sugar content down). Lay the apple slices on the other slice of bread. Put them together, cut in half and ENJOY!!!
  • You can vary this recipe by adding raisins, dried cranberries, different cheeses or apples, creamy peanut butter, etc. Very versatile - and very nutritious!
  • **Ahead of time, thinly slice a fresh, crisp apple. Place the apple slices in a small container and cover entirely with water and 2 tsp. lemon juice (or less, to taste). The lemon juice will help keep apple from turning brown.

Tips:

  • Always use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the taste of your sandwiches.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different flavors. There are endless possibilities when it comes to sandwich fillings, so get creative and have fun!
  • Make sure your sandwiches are well-balanced. Include a variety of textures, flavors, and colors in each sandwich.
  • Use a good bread. The bread is the foundation of your sandwich, so choose a bread that is sturdy enough to hold up to your fillings.
  • Spread your condiments evenly. This will help prevent your sandwich from getting soggy.
  • Don't overload your sandwich. Too many fillings will make your sandwich difficult to eat.
  • Cut your sandwich in half before serving. This will make it easier to eat, especially if you are using a lot of fillings.

Sandwiches are a delicious and versatile meal that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
