My sister Christine made these for use when I went home to Michigan for a visit for mom's 92nd birthday. These are so good and very easy to make..Made them this week, when my daughter came for a visit with her boyfriend..they were a hit again..Thanks Chris for the recipe!

Steps:
- 1. Blend blue cheese, cream cheese and egg until very smooth. Trim crust from bread(must do).Flatten each slice of crust-less bread with a rolling pin, then spread each piece with the cheese mixture.
- 2. Place one asparagus spear on the bottom of each slice of bread(cut to fit on bread and add together on bread) and roll up. Place the rolls on a freezer safe pan or plate(not touching each other)- then place in the freezer to firm up; so as to cut easier. This will also prevent cheese mixture from gushing out while slicing and baking.
- 3. Heat oven to 400^. Remove rolls from the freezer, cut each roll in half or thirds.(these can be made ahead, frozen and placed in freezer bags for future use). When ready to bake, place the rolls on a baking sheet and brush very generously with the melted butter. Bake for 20-25 minutes until lightly browned and crunchy.Serve at once.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Layer asparagus in the bottom of a medium baking dish. Top with water chestnuts, peas and cream of mushroom soup. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.
- Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Slice bread into 1/4 to 1/2 inch strips, and place in the butter. When butter has been absorbed, layer bread in the baking dish on top of the Cheddar cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven 35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.

Steps:
- 1. Rinse and cut the asparagus to about 4 inch tips, then toss asparagus in large mixing bowl with EVOO, salt/pepper, garlic, and onion powder
- 2. Cut the bacon package in half to make the pieces skinnier. Then wrap the bacon tightly from the tip, leaving as little green as possible
- 3. Lay on nonstick cookie sheet with the free end of the bacon down and add fresh cracked pepper to the bacon. Broil on the bottom rack in the oven.
- 4. Broil on bottom rack until bacon starts to brown and sizzle (about 5-7 minutes) flip all pieces over gently with tongs and repeat (5 more minutes)
- 5. Remove from cookie sheet and lay on paper towels to remove excess grease
- 6. Very lightly drizzle a little bit of syrup over the asparagus after arranging on a platter... ENJOY!!
