1/2 C sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
2 C flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cream of tartar
1/2 t salt

Bake sugar side up for 8-9 minutes or until bottom browns. Allow to cool for a short time (just enough to set) on cookie sheet, then transfer to wire baker's rack to complete cooling. For a crispier cookie cool on spread newspaper or brown bag to absorb and extra oil.

Tips:

  • To make sure your Angel Crisp Cookies turn out perfectly, use room temperature butter and eggs.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy before adding in the eggs. This will help to ensure that the cookies are tender and chewy.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing can make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help to prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven.
