APPLE PIE ( ADULT DRINK)

Apple Pie ( Adult Drink) image

This tastes just like apple pie. I was amazed to discover it even has a hint of crust flavor to it also! You can add more everclear or vodka if you like to make it stronger, but I like it just the way it is. I got the recipe from a new friend I made while on vacation recently. Make sure you use glass bottles. The drink ferments weird and seems to degrade plastic ones! The serving size and yield are approximate.

Steps:

  • In blender, place ice cream, milk and cinnamon. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy. Add pie chunks; cover and blend until smooth, stopping blender to scrape down sides if necessary.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of apples: Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn are all good choices. Different apples provide different flavors and textures, so using a variety will create a more complex and interesting filling.
  • Don't overcook the apples: The apples should be tender but still hold their shape. If you overcook them, they will become mushy.
  • Use a good quality pie crust: A homemade pie crust is always best, but if you're short on time, you can use a store-bought crust. Just be sure to choose one that is made with butter, not shortening.
  • Chill the dough before rolling it out: This will help to prevent the dough from sticking to your work surface and will make it easier to roll out.
  • Don't overfill the shot glasses: The filling should be about 2/3 full, or the shots will overflow when you bake them.
  • Bake the shots until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.

Conclusion:

Apple pie shots are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover pie crust. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a batch of apple pie shots that will be sure to impress your friends and family.
