APPLE PIE STREUSEL BARS
Okay, this is a recipe I found on Pinterest and then tracked it down to the original. It was alright, but needed some major spice kick. So, I adapted the original with just a few additions, pan change, and switched the apple variety. I personally like skipping the glaze, serving it HOT with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Some of the recipes I am posting are things that I used to make and some are recipe clubs that I signed up for. Now that I don't entertain a lot or work, as I am retired, I am enjoying sharing them with you. ...

Tips:
- Choose the right apples: Use a firm, tart apple that will hold its shape when baked, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: This will help the bars hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the bars: This will help to prevent the bars from crumbling.
- Serve the bars warm or at room temperature: The bars are best served warm or at room temperature, when the streusel topping is still soft and gooey.
Conclusion:
Apple streusel bars are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With a flaky crust, a sweet and tart apple filling, and a crunchy streusel topping, these bars are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy dessert, give these apple streusel bars a try!
