Tips:

  • Use ripe, fresh apples for the applesauce. This will give your squares the best flavor and texture.
  • If you don't have any applesauce, you can make your own. Simply peel and core some apples, then cook them in a saucepan with a little water until they are soft. Mash the apples until they are smooth, then add some sugar and spices to taste.
  • You can use any type of gelatin for this recipe. However, unflavored gelatin is the best choice because it won't alter the flavor of the applesauce.
  • Be sure to let the gelatin mixture cool slightly before adding it to the applesauce. This will prevent the gelatin from curdling.
  • Chill the squares for at least 4 hours before serving. This will give the gelatin time to set and the squares time to firm up.

Conclusion:

Applesauce gelatin squares are a delicious and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give these squares a try. You won't be disappointed!
