Tips:

  • Use fresh apricots: Fresh apricots are the best choice for this recipe, as they have the best flavor and texture. If you can't find fresh apricots, you can use frozen or dried apricots, but the flavor will not be as good.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make it tough. Mix it just until it comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough before baking will help it to keep its shape and prevent it from spreading too much.
  • Bake the squares until the crust is golden brown: The crust should be golden brown and the filling should be bubbly when the squares are done baking.
  • Let the squares cool before serving: Letting the squares cool before serving will help them to set and will make them easier to cut.

Conclusion:

Apricot crumb squares are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are made with a simple dough that is filled with a sweet and tangy apricot filling and topped with a crumbly streusel topping. These squares are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them!
