Tips:

  • Use ripe pears: The riper the pears, the sweeter and more flavorful your cake will be.
  • Peel and core the pears: Before adding the pears to the cake batter, be sure to peel and core them. This will help to ensure that the pears are evenly cooked and that the cake has a smooth texture.
  • Use a bundt pan: A bundt pan is the perfect pan for baking this cake. It will give the cake a beautiful shape and allow for even cooking.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cake tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This is the best way to ensure that the cake is cooked through.
  • Let the cake cool completely before glazing it: This will help to prevent the glaze from running off the cake.

Conclusion:

Aunt Josephine's Fresh Pear Cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. The cake is moist and flavorful, with a sweet and tangy glaze that complements the pears perfectly. This cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
