AWESOME BAKED HAM
I love this recipe because it is so easy and it calls for hardly any ingredients, and I always have these ingredients in my pantry. This recipe came from a good friend's mother, who was always asked to bake the ham for get-togethers and family dinners. Now I get those requests. People who ordinarily aren't too fond of ham rave over this one. After I carve, I spoon a little of the glaze over the meat in the platter - yummmm!

Tips:
- Choose the right ham: For the best results, select a fully cooked ham with a bone-in. This will help the ham stay moist and flavorful during baking.
- Score the ham: Using a sharp knife, score the ham diagonally in a criss-cross pattern. This will help the glaze penetrate the ham and create a delicious crust.
- Glaze the ham: There are many different types of glazes that you can use, but a simple combination of brown sugar, maple syrup, and Dijon mustard is always a winner.
- Cook the ham at a low temperature: The best way to cook a ham is at a low temperature for a long period of time. This will help the ham cook evenly without drying out.
- Let the ham rest: Once the ham is cooked, let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the ham, making it more tender and flavorful.
Conclusion:
Baked ham is a classic holiday dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With a few simple tips, you can create a baked ham that is moist, flavorful, and sure to impress your guests. So next time you're looking for a special dish to serve, give baked ham a try. You won't be disappointed.
