Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, measure and prep all of your ingredients. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling during the cooking process.
  • Choose the Right Bacon: Use a thick-cut bacon for this recipe, as it will hold up better in the frying pan and provide more flavor.
  • Cook the Bacon Properly: Cook the bacon over medium heat until it is crispy but not burnt. This will ensure that the bacon is flavorful and delicious.
  • Use a Cast Iron Skillet: A cast iron skillet is the best choice for cooking this recipe, as it will distribute the heat evenly and help to create a crispy crust on the potatoes.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Skillet: When adding the potatoes to the skillet, make sure not to overcrowd it. This will help the potatoes cook evenly and prevent them from steaming instead of frying.
  • Season Generously: Season the potatoes generously with salt and pepper. This will help to enhance the flavor of the potatoes and make them more delicious.
  • Add Aromatics: Add some chopped garlic and rosemary to the skillet along with the potatoes. This will help to infuse the potatoes with flavor and make them even more delicious.
  • Cook the Potatoes Until Golden Brown: Cook the potatoes until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This will ensure that the potatoes are cooked through and have a delicious flavor.
