2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup spreadable chive and onion cream cheese
1 tablespoon stone-ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic pepper blend
3 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped onions, thawed and patted dry
8 pieces ready-to-serve fully cooked bacon, chopped
1/2 cup sliced almonds, divided
1/3 cup dried cranberries, chopped
Slices French bread baguette (1/4 inch thick), toasted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, cream cheese, mustard and garlic pepper blend. Add Swiss cheese; mix well. Stir in onions, bacon, 1/4 cup almonds and cranberries. Spread into a greased 1- or 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup almonds. Place on a baking sheet., Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, 25-30 minutes. Serve warm with baguette slices.

This is a dip that was given to my cousin, who has shared it with the rest of the family. Its a great hot dip for those upcoming cold months and a real crowd pleaser too!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 pkg (8oz) cream cheese
1 c hellmann's mayonnaise
1 c (10 oz block) shredded swiss cheese
4 Tbsp green scallions
1/2 to 1 lb bacon to make your own bacon bits (i do) or use hormel real bacon bits
1 loaf of french bread sliced

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream the cream cheese.
  • 2. Add shredded Swiss Cheese, mayonnaise and scallions. Mix well.
  • 3. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring the mixture after 15 minutes of cooking. While dip is in oven, slice your french bread and place on a ungreased cookie sheet. Remove from oven and sprinkle a lot of bacon bits on the top and let sit for a little bit (about 5 to 10 minutes). While dip is sitting, place french bread in oven to toast slightly about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and they are ready to top with dip! Serve on top of French Bread slices.

8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
4 ounces swiss cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons green onions, slices
8 bacon, slices crisp-cooked (drained and crumbled)
1/2 cup crushed buttery cracker

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan (or could use microwave), combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, swiss cheese and green onion slices. Heat until cheese is melted; stirring constantly until smooth. Place in a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle with bacon and crushed crackers. Serve with whole crackers.
