LASAGNA CASSEROLE

Lasagna Casserole image

While growing up, this was the meal I always wanted on my birthday. Mother made the sauce from scratch, but I use store-bought spaghetti sauce to save time. Replace the ground beef with Italian sausage if you want more spice. -Deb Morrison, Skiatook, Oklahoma

Tips and Conclusion

Tips:

  • Choose the right pasta. Fettuccine is a long, flat noodle that is perfect for this recipe. It cooks evenly and holds the sauce well.
  • Don't overcook the pasta. Cook the pasta al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will prevent it from becoming mushy in the lasagna.
  • Use a flavorful sauce. The sauce is the star of the show in this dish, so make sure to use one that you love. A classic tomato sauce is always a good choice, but you could also try a white sauce, pesto, or even a meat sauce.
  • Layer the lasagna properly. Start with a layer of sauce, then a layer of pasta, then a layer of cheese. Repeat this process until you have used up all of the ingredients.
  • Bake the lasagna until it is golden brown and bubbly. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Let the lasagna rest before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the lasagna to set.

Conclusion:

Baked fettuccine lasagna is a delicious and versatile dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own preferences. Whether you like your lasagna with a classic tomato sauce or a more unique sauce, you are sure to find a recipe that you will love.
