Steps:
- 1. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon & salt. In another bowl mix the remaining ingredients except the egg whites & add to the dry ingredients. 2. Beat the egg white until still & add to the mixture.
Tips:
- For fluffier waffles, separate the egg whites and yolks and beat the whites until stiff peaks form before folding them into the batter.
- To make your waffles crispy, cook them on a hot waffle iron and don't overcrowd the iron.
- If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
- For a sweeter waffle, add 1/4 cup of sugar to the batter.
- For a more savory waffle, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the batter.
- To add more flavor and texture to your waffles, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts, fruit, or chocolate chips to the batter.
- Serve your waffles with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, whipped cream, or ice cream.
