1/2 teaspoon onion salt

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in lg bowl.
  • Spread on lightly oiled baking sheet.
  • Bake 20 min at 300F, stirring halfway through.

Tips:

  • Choose the right peanuts: Raw peanuts with the skin on are ideal for this recipe, as they have a more robust flavor and hold their shape better during cooking.
  • Soak the peanuts: Soaking the peanuts overnight or for at least 8 hours helps to soften them and reduce the cooking time. This step is optional but recommended for a more tender result.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what gives the peanuts their incredible taste, so don't skimp on the ingredients. Use a combination of spices, herbs, and liquids to create a marinade that suits your taste preferences. Soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and garlic are all popular choices.
  • Cook the peanuts slowly and evenly: Low and slow cooking is the key to achieving crispy, evenly cooked peanuts. Cook them over medium heat, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and fragrant.
  • Let the peanuts cool completely: Once the peanuts are cooked, let them cool completely before serving or storing. This will help them to crisp up and develop their full flavor.
