Tips:

  • Use high-quality cream cheese. This is the base of the cheese ball, so it's important to use a good one. Look for a cream cheese that is smooth and spreadable, with no lumps.
  • Shred your own cheese. Pre-shredded cheese can contain additives that can affect the flavor and texture of the cheese ball. Shredding your own cheese ensures that you're using fresh, high-quality cheese.
  • Don't overmix the cheese ball. Overmixing can make the cheese ball tough and rubbery. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Chill the cheese ball before serving. This helps to firm up the cheese ball and make it easier to handle.
  • Serve the cheese ball with a variety of crackers, bread, and vegetables. This allows your guests to choose their favorite way to enjoy the cheese ball.
