1 loaf rosemary focaccia bread, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 red or sweet onions, thinly sliced
1/3 cup dry red wine
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 (24-ounce) piece beef tenderloin

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.

  • Grill the beef tenderloin, turning to mark all sides, until medium rare, about 10 to 15 minutes total. Let rest for 10 minutes, then thinly slice the meat. Place a slice of beef on each rosemary focaccia crostini and top each with a teaspoon of onion marmalade.

Tips:

  • Choose the right bread: Crostini are traditionally made with a baguette, but you can use any type of bread you like. Just make sure it's sturdy enough to hold up to the toppings.
  • Slice the bread thinly: The slices of bread should be about 1/4-inch thick. This will help them to toast evenly and prevent them from becoming too soggy.
  • Toast the bread: You can toast the bread in the oven, on a grill, or in a toaster oven. Just make sure it's golden brown and crispy.
  • Use a variety of toppings: The possibilities are endless when it comes to crostini toppings. You can use anything from simple cheese and herbs to more elaborate mixtures, such as beef and red pepper mayonnaise.
  • Garnish the crostini: A simple garnish can go a long way in making your crostini look more appetizing. Try sprinkling them with chopped herbs, grated cheese, or a drizzle of olive oil.

Conclusion:

Crostini are a delicious and easy appetizer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They're perfect for parties, potlucks, or simply as a snack. With so many different topping options, you're sure to find a combination that everyone will love.
