Time 23m

Yield 12 muffins

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup beer
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup oil
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F and lightly grease muffin tin.
  • Mix the dry stuff and the wet stuff in different bowls, them mix together along with the cheese.
  • Spoon into prepared muffin tins and bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
  • When done let them sit for 5 minutes before taking them out of the pan.

Tips:

  • For a creamier muffin, use full-fat beer and cream cheese. You can also use reduced-fat or fat-free products, but the muffins will be less creamy.
  • If you don't have beer, you can substitute milk or water. However, the beer will give the muffins a richer flavor.
  • Be sure to grate the cheddar cheese finely. This will help it melt evenly throughout the muffins.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the muffins tough.
  • Fill the muffin cups only about 2/3 full. The muffins will rise as they bake.
  • Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help them hold their shape.

Conclusion:

Beer cheese muffins are a quick and easy snack or appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover beer. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of delicious beer cheese muffins that everyone will love. So next time you have a craving for something cheesy and savory, give beer cheese muffins a try. You won't be disappointed!
