PHILLY CHEESESTEAK CASSEROLE

Philly Cheesesteak Casserole image

The taste of this casserole is reminiscent of a good Philly cheesesteak. Even though it goes against my normal condiment rules, ketchup is a must alongside. Not exactly low in fat, but neither is it's namesake.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality beer for the best flavor. A dark beer like a stout or porter will give the casserole a richer flavor, while a lighter beer like a pilsner or lager will give it a more delicate flavor.
  • Shred your own cheese for the best texture and flavor. Pre-shredded cheese often contains additives that can make it less melty and flavorful.
  • Cook the steak until it is just cooked through. Overcooked steak will be tough and chewy.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different toppings. Some popular options include bacon, jalapeños, and onions.
  • Serve the casserole with a side of crusty bread or crackers for dipping.

Conclusion:

This beer cheese Philly steak casserole is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal or a weekend gathering. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you are looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, give this casserole a try.
