Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes and beets: For the best results, use a starchy potato like Russet or Yukon Gold, and firm, sweet beets.
  • Cut the vegetables into even-sized pieces: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Toss the vegetables with oil and seasonings: This will help them crisp up and brown in the oven.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Give the vegetables enough space to spread out so they can cook evenly.
  • Bake the vegetables at a high temperature: This will help them crisp up and caramelize.
  • Keep an eye on the vegetables while they're baking: They can burn easily, so it's important to check on them regularly.

Conclusion:

These beet and sweet potato fries are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional French fries. They're crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they're packed with nutrients. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce for a tasty and satisfying snack or side dish.
