Growing up in Newfoundland, I looked forward to Christmas each year for the huge family get-togethers, and of course the food that went along with them. This recipe is one that my Grandmother made every year. Definitely one of my favourite Christmas cookies.

Tips:

  • Use cold butter. This will help the dough stay crumbly and prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour and make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Roll the cookies in powdered sugar while they are still warm. This will help the sugar stick to the cookies and create a festive snowball effect.

Conclusion:

Bisquick snowballs are a delicious and easy-to-make holiday treat. They are perfect for cookie exchanges, potlucks, and holiday parties.
