BURGER KING BK BROILER - MY WAY

Burger King Bk Broiler - My Way image

(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BK_grilled_chicken_sandwiches. The original BK broiler was served with a dill ranch sauce and on a oat dusted bun. Some say it had mayonnaise- So use which one you remember! one chicken breast produces 2 sandwiches. You can use a wheat bun that has oats on top or just use a sesame seed bun like on the whopper and use which sauce you remember. it would be easy just to add dill to your ranch dressing, but I personally don't think it makes a difference.

Time 12h10m

Yield 4 sandwiches

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, filleted thin and pound flat
4 hamburger buns (of choice)
chopped lettuce
1/4 cup ranch salad dressing
tomatoes, slices
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon hickory smoke barbecue sauce (I prefer kraft)
1 dash pepper, oregano, onion powder

Steps:

  • make marinade in medium bowl.
  • pound chicken filets flat between saran wrap.
  • marinate chicken for at the very least 4 hours (overnight is the desired of course for maximum flavor).
  • heat grill on high heat and grill chicken 3-4 minutes per side over a medium heat, mindful of flare ups.
  • toast buns slightly (remember @ bk they go through on a little conveyer belt).
  • spread your ranch on the top bun (or mayo if you prefer) then put lettuce and tomatoes (about 2 slices per bun). add your hot grilled chicken and serve.
  • **i actually remember eating these with a little ranch on the side to dip in**.
  • enjoy!

Tips:

  • Meal Planning: Begin by organizing your weekly meals. Create a meal plan considering dietary preferences, allergies, and time constraints.
  • Grocery Shopping: Make a comprehensive shopping list based on your meal plan. Prioritize fresh produce, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats.
  • Mise en Place: Before cooking, measure and prepare all ingredients, including chopping vegetables and prepping sauces. This streamlines the cooking process.
  • Master Knife Skills: Develop basic knife skills for precise chopping, dicing, and slicing. This enhances the presentation and texture of your dishes.
  • Temperature Control: Use a meat thermometer to ensure meats are cooked to the proper internal temperature. This prevents undercooked or overcooked meats.
  • Seasoning: Taste your dishes throughout the cooking process and adjust seasonings as needed. A balance of salt, pepper, and herbs elevates flavors.
  • Garnishing: Add fresh herbs, citrus zest, or colorful vegetables as garnishes. This enhances the visual appeal and adds a touch of freshness.
  • Leftovers: Plan for leftovers. They can be repurposed into new dishes, saving time and reducing food waste.

Conclusion:

Cooking is an art form that nourishes both body and soul. Embrace the joy of creating delicious meals for yourself and your loved ones. Experiment with flavors, explore new recipes, and refine your techniques over time. Remember, practice makes perfect. The more you cook, the more confident and skilled you'll become.
