A friend and I discovered this recipe together and both consider it a staple menu item. I fix the moist, mild-tasting patties often for family and friends. We love them with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles and the gravy, which gets great flavor from fresh mushrooms.

HEAVENLY MEATLOAF WITH BLUE CHEESE, MUSHROOMS, AND SPINACH
A slightly different recipe using a combination of ingredients, this meatloaf tastes absolutely divine! Instead of the usual ketchup, tomato paste, and brown sugar, this meatloaf is more of an 'upscale' version of the traditional. Best served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. This is my own personal creation! I substitute ground deer meat occasionally instead of beef, only because I have a freezer full, and it's organic!

Tips:
- Choose the right type of ground beef. For a moist and flavorful meatloaf, use a combination of ground chuck and ground sirloin. Avoid using ground beef that is too lean, as it will result in a dry meatloaf.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing the meatloaf will make it tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Add moisture to the meatloaf. To keep the meatloaf moist, add some bread crumbs, milk, or eggs to the mixture. You can also add vegetables, such as onions, celery, or carrots, to help keep the meatloaf moist.
- Season the meatloaf well. Use a variety of seasonings, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika, to flavor the meatloaf.
- Cook the meatloaf at the right temperature. Cook the meatloaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. After cooking, let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This will help the meatloaf to retain its moisture.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. By following these tips, you can make a delicious and moist meatloaf that your family and friends will love.
