Tips:

  • Properly Prepare Your Baking Pan: Prior to pouring the batter, generously grease and flour the bundt pan. This ensures that the cake will not stick and will easily release from the pan once baked.
  • Use Fresh Blueberries: Fresh blueberries offer the best flavor and texture to the coffee cake. If using frozen blueberries, thaw them completely and drain any excess moisture before incorporating them into the batter.
  • Cream the Butter and Sugar Until Light and Fluffy: This step is essential for achieving a moist and fluffy cake. Creaming the butter and sugar together until they are light and fluffy helps to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a more tender and flavorful cake.
  • Gradually Add the Eggs: Gradually adding the eggs to the batter one at a time helps to prevent the batter from curdling.
  • Do Not Overmix the Batter: Overmixing the batter can result in a tough and dense cake. Mix the batter only until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Bake the Coffee Cake Until a Toothpick Inserted in the Center Comes Out Clean: Baking the coffee cake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean ensures that the cake is fully cooked.
  • Let the Coffee Cake Cool Completely Before Glazing: Allowing the coffee cake to cool completely before glazing helps the glaze to set properly.
