BLUEBERRY FIZZ

Categories     Fruit

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 bottles (2 liters each)
ginger ale
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 lemon, thinly sliced and seeded
1 lime, thinly sliced and seeded
2 tablespoons crystallized ginger
ice cubes

Steps:

  • 1. Divide 1 bottle of the ginger ale between 2 pitchers or half-gallon bottles. Add 1/2 cup of the blueberries, half of the lemon and lime slices, and 1 tablespoon of the ginger to each pitcher. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours. (If chilling more than 2 hours, do not add lemon and lime slices until 1 to 2 hours before serving

Tips:

  • Use fresh blueberries: Fresh blueberries have a more intense flavor and a better texture than frozen or canned blueberries. If you can't find fresh blueberries, frozen blueberries will work, but be sure to thaw them completely before using.
  • Choose a sparkling water that you enjoy the taste of: The flavor of the sparkling water will come through in the blueberry fizz, so be sure to choose one that you like. A plain sparkling water or a flavored sparkling water, such as lemon or lime, will both work well.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice: A squeeze of lemon or lime juice will add a bit of tartness and brightness to the blueberry fizz. If you're using plain sparkling water, you may also want to add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
  • Serve immediately: Blueberry fizz is best served immediately after it is made. The sparkling water will start to lose its fizz over time, so don't let it sit around for too long before drinking.

Conclusion:

Blueberry fizz is a refreshing and delicious summer drink that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. So next time you're looking for a cool and refreshing drink, give blueberry fizz a try!
