Time 5m

Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 4

6 ounces vanilla ice cream
4 ounces amaretto
4 ounces frozen cherries
4 ounces cold almond milk, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Blend together the ice cream, amaretto, frozen cherries and almond milk until smooth, adding almond milk depending on how thick you'd like the shake. Serve in a chilled milkshake glass.

Tips:

  • Use fresh or frozen cherries: Fresh cherries are ideal, but frozen cherries can also be used. If using frozen cherries, thaw them completely before using.
  • Choose a good quality brandy: The brandy you use will have a big impact on the flavor of the sauce. Look for a brandy that is smooth and has a nice flavor.
  • Don't overcook the sauce: The sauce should be cooked until the cherries are softened and the sauce has thickened, but don't overcook it or the cherries will become mushy.
  • Add a little bit of sugar: The amount of sugar you add will depend on the sweetness of the cherries. If the cherries are tart, you may need to add more sugar.
  • Serve the sauce warm or cold: Cherry sauce can be served warm or cold. Serve it warm over ice cream, pancakes, or waffles. Or, serve it cold as a topping for yogurt or granola.

Conclusion:

Boozy cherry sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used in a variety of ways. It's perfect for topping desserts, drizzling over ice cream, or using as a marinade for chicken or pork. With its sweet and boozy flavor, this sauce is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
