Tips:
- Activate the yeast properly: Before adding the yeast to the dough, activate it by dissolving it in warm water and letting it sit for the recommended amount of time (usually 5-10 minutes).
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: Fresh ingredients will produce a better-tasting bread. If possible, use organic and locally-sourced ingredients.
- Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough develops the gluten and produces a strong and elastic dough. Knead the dough for at least 5-7 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough should rise in a warm place (75-85°F) until it has doubled in size. This usually takes about 1-2 hours.
- Bake the bread at a high temperature: The bread should be baked at a high temperature (400-450°F) for a short amount of time. This will produce a crispy crust and a light and airy interior.
