Tips

  • Use stale bread: Stale bread works best for bread pudding because it absorbs the liquid and flavors more evenly. If you don't have stale bread, you can dry fresh bread in the oven at a low temperature until it is slightly crispy.
  • Use a variety of bread: You can use any type of bread for bread pudding, but a combination of different types of bread will give it a more complex flavor and texture. For example, you could use a mix of white bread, wheat bread, and sourdough bread.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixed batter will make the bread pudding tough. Stir the ingredients until they are just combined and then stop.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your bread pudding the best flavor. If possible, use organic eggs, milk, and butter.
  • Bake the bread pudding in a water bath: Baking the bread pudding in a water bath will help it cook evenly and prevent it from drying out.

Bread pudding is a delicious and versatile dessert that can be made with a variety of ingredients. It is a great way to use up leftover bread and it can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. With so many different recipes to choose from, there is sure to be a bread pudding that everyone will enjoy.
