Number Of Ingredients 15

For the salsa:
1 pound salmon filet
For the marinade
1 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp honey
1 tbsp chopped basil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp minced garlic
salt to taste
1 pint chopped strawberries
2 tbsp minced red onion
2 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp chopped basil
1 tbsp cilantro

Steps:

  • Combine the ingredients for the salsa, cover the salmon with the marinade and bake at 375F until done. Cover the salmon with the salsa and enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon: Look for wild-caught, sustainably sourced salmon fillets that are about 1 inch thick and have a vibrant color.
  • Make sure the salmon is properly thawed: If the salmon is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Don't overcook the salmon: Salmon cooks quickly, so it's important to watch it carefully. The best way to tell if the salmon is done is to insert a fork into the thickest part of the fillet. If the fork flakes easily, the salmon is done.
  • Let the salmon rest before serving: After cooking, let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the fish.
  • Serve the salmon with your favorite sides: Some popular sides for salmon include roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.

Conclusion:

Brown sugar lime salmon is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet and tangy flavors is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and tasty meal, give this recipe a try.
