Tips:

  • Choose the right butternut squash: Look for a squash that is firm and heavy for its size, with a deep orange color. Avoid squash that has bruises or soft spots.
  • Roast the butternut squash before adding it to the casserole: This will help to bring out its natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Use a variety of cheeses: A combination of cheeses, such as cheddar, Parmesan, and mozzarella, will give the casserole a rich and complex flavor.
  • Don't overcook the casserole: The butternut squash should be tender but still slightly firm. Overcooking will make it mushy.
  • Serve the casserole hot: This is when it will be at its best.

Conclusion:

Butternut squash and red pepper casserole is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover butternut squash.
