BUTTERSCOTCH CRESCENTS

Found this on the Hershey's website while searching for ways to use up the after-the-holidays supplies. I love butterscotch (not quite as much as I do caramel, but...)stuff like this is a great thing for me to pop in the oven when I have company for movies and nosh. I already make a version with little bite-sized candy bars and they are always gone by the first few minutes of the movie. I think that the addition of the coconut to the chips is divine!

Tips:

- To achieve the perfect crescent shape, use a sharp knife to make clean, even cuts in the dough. - For a more pronounced butterscotch flavor, use a dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar. - If you don't have a pastry brush, you can use a spoon to brush the crescents with the egg wash. - To ensure that the crescents are evenly baked, rotate the baking sheet halfway through the baking time. - Allow the crescents to cool slightly before serving so that they can set and hold their shape.
