Tips:

  • For the best results, use high-quality ingredients. This means using real butter, not margarine, and using pure vanilla extract, not imitation.
  • Make sure your oven is preheated to the correct temperature before baking the cookies. If the oven is not hot enough, the cookies will not spread properly and will be too thick.
  • Do not overmix the cookie dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just starting to turn golden brown around the edges. If you bake them too long, they will be dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before storing them. This will help them to keep their shape and prevent them from becoming sticky.

Conclusion:

Butterscotch lace cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their crisp, delicate texture and rich, buttery flavor, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. Whether you are baking them for a special occasion or just for a snack, these cookies are sure to please.
