Steps:
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook fettuccine at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, 7 to 8 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup of the cooking water and drain the remaining water.
- Combine flour and Cajun seasoning in a small bowl. Pat shrimp dry and add to the bowl, tossing to coat.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp into the skillet once the butter bubbles and cook for 2 minutes per side. Transfer shrimp to a clean bowl. Add garlic to the same skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour chicken broth into the skillet and scrape up any brown bits.
- Whisk in remaining flour-Cajun seasoning slowly until well incorporated. Season with white pepper and red pepper flakes. Reduce heat to medium-low and slowly whisk in cream; cook for 2 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese slowly, whisking constantly. Cook until sauce has thickened, 2 minutes more. Return shrimp to the skillet and add pasta; toss to combine.
- Mix in a little of the cooking water if the sauce is too thick, 1 tablespoon at a time. Taste and season with salt, if necessary. Serve sprinkled with parsley.

Steps:
- Start cooking the pasta. Melt the butter in a pan over medium-high heat, toss the shrimp in the cajun seasoning, add to pan and cook, about 2-3 minutes per side, and set aside. Add the garlic to the pan and saute until fragrant, about a 30 seconds. Deglaze the pan with the wine, add the heavy cream, parmesan and cajun seasoning and cook until it thickens a bit, about 3-5 minutes. Toss the pasta in with the Alfredo sauce along with the shrimp and serve garnished with green onions.
Tips:
- Use fresh and high-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the overall flavor of the dish.
- Don't overcook the shrimp: Shrimp cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it, or it will become tough.
- Use a good quality fettuccine pasta: This will help the sauce to cling to the pasta better.
- Make sure the sauce is thick and creamy: This will help it to coat the pasta and shrimp well.
- Add some fresh herbs or vegetables to the dish: This will add some extra flavor and color.
- Serve the dish immediately: This will ensure that the pasta and shrimp are hot and the sauce is still creamy.
Conclusion:
This Cajun shrimp fettuccine Alfredo is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up any leftover shrimp. You can enjoy this dish with your family and friends at any party.
